WATER SOLUBLE POWDER
Composition:
Each gram powder contains:
100 mg flumequine.
Spectrum of activity:
Flumequine is a quinolone derivative, with bactericidal action against particularly Gramnegative bacteria (e.g. Klebsiella spp., E. coli, Enterobacter cloacae, Serratia, Proteus spp., Salmonella spp., Neisseria meningitides, Pasteurella multocida, Campylobacter spp. and Shigella spp.).
Indications:
Infections caused by micro-organisms susceptible to flumequine.
E.g. prevention and treatment of: colibacillosis (E. coli infections), pasteurellosis (Cholera) and salmonellosis in poultry, calves and pigs.
Contra-indications:
Hypersensitivity to flumequine, serious liver- or renal insufficiency. Use in birds producing eggs for human food.
Side-effects:
Eventually hypersensivity to flumequine may occur.
Dosage and administration:
Orally via drinking water. Medicated water should be used within 24 hours.
Medication should be continuous during the treatment period.
Poultry: 10 mg per kg bodyweight, during 3-5 consecutive days.
This is achieved by adding100 gram powder per120 litres of drinking water.
Calves/pigs: 6 mg/kg b.w., twice a day for 5-6 days. This is approximately 500 gram per1000 litres of drinking water for an animal of 50 kg).
Withdrawal time:
For meat: 2 days.
Storage:
Store closed in a cool and dry place.
Shelf life:
3 years.
