WATER SOLUBLE POWDER

 

Composition:

Each gram powder contains:

200 mg levamisole hydrochloride.

Spectrum of activity:

Levamisole is a synthetic broad spectrum anthelmintic and is active against adult and larval stages of gastro-intestinal nematodes and lungworms of cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. After oral or parenteral administration, levamisole first paralysis the worms and afterwards the worms are expelled in the faeces (within 24 hours after parenteral administration). In therapeutic dose levamisole is non-toxic and no side-effects are observed. Levamisole may be given to pregnant animals or animals in poor condition.

Indications:

Adult and larval stages of gastro-intestinal nematodes and lungworms of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry:

Lungworms (Dictyocaulus spp., Protostrongylus spp. and Metastrongylus elongatus (pigs)).

Ascaridae (Toxocara vitulorum, Ascaris suum).

Trichuridae (Trichuris ovis, Trichuris suis).

Trichostrongylidae (Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Ostertagia spp., Marshallagia spp., Haemonchus spp., Nematodirus spp.).

Strongyloidae (Oesophagostomum spp., Chabertia ovina, Bunostomum spp.).

Strongyloididae (Strongyloides spp.).

Contra-indications:

Simultaneous administration with substances having nicotinic like action e.g. pyrantel, morantel.

Dosage and administration:

For oral administration with the drinking water.

Cattle, sheep, goats and pigs: the general dose is 10 mg/kg bodyweight (10 grampowder per200 kgb.w.).

Poultry: 100 ppm. This is achieved by adding100 gram powder per200 Lof drinking water

As a rule, one single treatment will be sufficient.

Withdrawal time:

For meat: 8 days.

For milk:  3 days.

Storage:

Store at 15-25°C, in a dry place.

Shelf life:

3 years.

Sachet of 100 gram, plastic jar of 1000 gram.
