ORAL SOLUTION
Composition:
Each ml solution contains:
0.50 mg sodium selenite
100 mg vitamin E
Spectrum of activity:
Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant. It prevents or slows formation of free radicals and hyper peroxides from polyunsaturated fatty acids. The decrease in peroxide formation can be considered as having a stabilizing effect on cell membranes containing poly-unsaturated fatty acids.
Selenium is necessary for growth and fertility and has an interaction with vitamin E that allows each to partially but not complete substitute for the other. Selenium also has antioxidant action
Indications:
Prevention or treatment of muscular dystrophy (White Muscle Disease, Stiff Lamb Disease) encephalomalacia, exudative diathesis, decreased hatchability of eggs, diminished fertility (embryonic death).
Dosage and administration:
Oral administration.
Sheep/goats/calves: 2-10 ml/animal
Poultry: 1litre/1000-4000 litres of drinking water during 6 days.
Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours.
Withdrawal time:
None.
Storage:
Store closed below 20 °C, protected from light.
Shelf life:
2 years.
