WATER SOLUBLE POWDER
Composition:
Each gram powder contains:
200 mg tylosin tartrate.
Spectrum of activity:
Tylosin, a macrolide antibiotic, is active against particularly Gram-positive bacteria like Streptococcus spp. and Staphylococcus spp. (including Staphylococcus aureus), some Spirochetes (including Leptospira); Actinomyces, Mycoplasmas (PPLO), Haemophilus pertussis, Moraxella bovis and some Gram-negative cocci.
Indications:
Prevention and treatment of infections caused by micro-organisms susceptible to tylosin, like Mycoplasma-infections (C.R.D., Synusitis, and enzootic pneumonia), enteritis (Treponema hyodysenteriae) and pneumonia infections (Pasteurella multicida) in cattle, pigs and poultry (broilers).
Contra-indications:
Laying hens.
Side-effects:
Pigs: Hypersensivity reactions like oedema of the rectal mucosa, anal swellings and diarrhoea.
Dosage and administration:
Poultry:1 kg powder per 400 litres drinking water for 2-5 consecutive days.
Calves:5 g powder per calf through the drinking water or milk, twice a day, for 7-14 days.
Pigs:100 g powder per 80 litres of drinking water, daily, for 10 consecutive days.
Withdrawal time:
For meat: 5 days.
Storage:
Store closed in a cool and dry place.
Shelf life:
3 years.
